Mission: StoryTime's mission is to assist busy parents in sourcing excellent materials about books and reading which they can then share with the children in their lives.
Through read-aloud stories, activities, helpful resources, enlightening articles and reviews of great children's books, StoryTime offers learning fun and wholesome entertainment for all ages.Our Needs:
Features: Essays and articles that encourage the sharing of quality time with children, with a special emphasis on reading. For example, fact-based articles on the benefits of reading with your child or personal essays showing how a together time routine has positively affected your life. Articles should be about 500 - 800 words in length. Please query first for articles. For essays, submit complete manuscript. No payment at this time, byline, bio and URL given.
Read With Me: Fiction and non-fiction read-aloud stories for children [300-500 words], preschool through elementary age. Supporting visuals are welcome. No payment at this time, byline, bio and URL are given.
Children's Book Reviews: 200-400 word reviews of picture books, early readers, middle readers, and young adult and children's e-books. No payment at this time; byline given.
Remember this…..? Articles up to 800 words, which talk about your personal experiences with literature and books, from your childhood. We prefer references to classic literature still available for purchase or in the Public Domain, but it is not essential. No payment at this time, byline and URL are given.
Kid's Tales: 200-500 word stories written by children. No payment at this time, certificate of participation awarded.
Busy Kids: 50-word summary of recommended children's activity web sites. No payment at this time. Byline given.
Please submit all queries and submissions in the body of an email . Reprints are acceptable. Responds in 2-4 weeks.
