Length of Advertising Campaign

Is your campaign falling short of your expectations? You may not have been in the public eye long enough. The best way to start making sales is to make a brand for yourself. Be creative and fresh, and then stick with it.

Each ad you place may not produce more sales that week, however, it will increase your traffic. The more traffic you have, the more your site is bookmarked and passed around, the more the search engines move you up in the ranks -- the more sales you will have. In the end, an ad that produced no sales now, will produce sales later.

Of those that will act on your ad, it can take at least seven views of your advertisement before they act. Make sure it has been around long enough.

Market Saturation & Demand

If you're selling the same thing as everyone else, you may be on the losing end of advertising.

You may have an excellent product or service, yet your sales are low. Often, there is not as much of a demand for them.


When the economy dips, many companies continue to flourish while others suffer. Remember that the economy can play a role on when your ad will work.

If your product is best suited for a holiday, advertising year-round could be a mistake. You may want to save your advertising dollars and do a sudden blitz starting at least 6-8 weeks before the holiday.


Do your best to ensure that your ad is in a section or on a page that pulls in the target audience you need.
