Lisa Poisso

A “Renaissance mama” with separate degrees in both fine arts and journalism, Lisa Poisso has more than 15 years of experience as a professional writer and editor. The former ballet and musical theatre dancer has worked as a magazine editor, in corporate communications and has run her own home-based writing and editorial business since 1995.

A passionate advocate for attachment parenting and natural family living, Lisa is the founder of APConnect!, Dallas/Fort Worth’s online resource for AP and natural parenting. She writes parenting articles for print and online publications in addition to maintaining a limited base of business communication clients and freelance editing projects. She burns more than her fair share of the midnight oil editing the work of her husband, a gaming and fantasy fiction writer.

Lisa lives in Texas with her husband, their 10-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter. She homeschools amidst the family’s dueling writing and editing deadlines, natural parenting advocacy, the slow construction of her own website of parenting essays, and healthy doses of good, old-fashioned play time.
