Background
information:
I am 22 years old,
and have a 19 month old little boy! I currently live in Fort Myers,
FL with my wonderful boyfriend. I am attending college part-time.
My mother and I both love crafts, especially scrapbooking, so
we decided to develop our own business. Originally our idea started
as a service making scrapbooks for other people who don't have
the time to do one themselves. However, we then expanded our business
to include an online retail scrapbook store.
Do you
do some or all of your business online? What countries do you
ship to?
Most of our business
is online, however we do have many local customers as well. Currently
we ship to the United States and Canada, however we are always
willing to work with a customer who may need something shipped
elsewhere. We serve any and all nationalities!
What products
or services do you sell? For what age ranges?
We sell scrapbook
supplies including custom quilted albums and covers, handmade
tags, paper piecings, scrapbook kits, stickers, embellishments,
books, tools and more! Our specialty in handmade scrapbook items!
Our custom album
service is for those who don't have the time to make their own
scrapbooks. We will do it all for them. We also specialize in
Pre Made Baby Albums. We
also run monthly contests and have a weekly layout and how-to
articles!
The best thing
about scrapbooking is that it is for anyone of any age! New
and expecting parents love our Pre Made Baby Albums!
What’s
your favorite product / service? Describe it and why you enjoy
it the most.
My favorite service
is our custom album service. This allows us to really help families
preserve all their precious memories. Boxes of photos can be overwhelming.
and we will help anyone get all those memories stored in their
own family keepsake album!
I also love our
handmade products because they are truly unique and you know that
you won't find them anywhere else!
What do
you wish to sell more of / provide more?
I would love to
provide a lot more scrapbook supplies and have a fully functional
online scrapbook store. I would also like to incorporate an online
community in the near future with message boards and chats for
scrapbookers

We accept Visa,
Mastercard, Discover, and Paypal. We will also accept Money Orders.

Yes! We run specials
all the time, and have special sales just for our Two Moms Scrapbook
yahoo group members!

have monthly contests?
Yes. We usually
will have a layout contest as well as other miscellaneous contests.

you have available?
We do not currently
have affiliates or jobs, but we do have an opportunity for design

looking to expand your services and products?
Yes. I would love
to build up to an even larger inventory and become one of the
leading scrapbook websites!
Do you
support charity? Which one(s)?
I am working on
getting involved with the Picture ME Foundation Program in which
I would like to work with hospitalized children and help them
enjoy the world of scrapbooking!
What skills,
education or training must you have to work in this business?
A love for scrapbooking!

What do
you love the most about being in business? What’s your biggest
challenge?
The thing I love
best is that my business is all about what I love to do: SCRAPBOOK!
It makes my "work" very enjoyable and I am always motivated
to work. I also love the flexibility and being my own boss. The
biggest challenge is getting the site out there and advertising
to target audiences. There are so many scrapbook sites online
now that I really feel I need to work extra hard to make Two Moms
Scrapbook stand out!
Give us
your best marketing advice.
I would say join
email groups specific to your business. Also make sure to have
professional cards/brochires made to hand out when ever you need
to. Add your business information to all your emails and try not
to step on anyones toes along the way! You never know when you
may need someone to help you out!

My best business
advice would be to make sure your business is doing what you love
and what you know about!
Give us
your worst mistake in business so far so that we may learn from
it.
Trying to get involved
in too many things at once. Signing up for too many newsletters,
groups, emails, etc. If they are not specifically for your business,
it wastes a lot of time to check all the emails.
Where do
you go for support and networking?
My favorite is
the MomPack Yahoo group because it is filled with work at home
moms who are very willing to offer advice, suggestions, information,
etc.
What special
features like link exchanges, resources, etc do you carry on your
site?
I have a links
page and also a contest page! We also are working on a scrapbook
archive so you can come and look at layouts from all over!
What else
do you want us to know about your business?
Our main goal is
to help others to preserve their family memories! We strive to
give our customers excellant and personalized customer service!
We would love to get to know each and every customer on a personal
level!
